The Senior Paralegal plays a vital role in supporting lawyers through advanced knowledge of the transactional lifecycle, handling complex documentation, and managing key deal aspects independently. Their responsibilities include organizing and interpreting transaction documents, maintaining databases, managing critical deadlines, and coordinating communications. They oversee various stages of deal lifecycle, prepare and review legal and financial documents such as UCC financing statements, liaise with external vendors, and streamline procedures across firm departments to enhance efficiency. The role requires proficiency in MS Office suites, legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw), and transactional software, as well as experience with timekeeping and billing processes. Candidates should possess at least seven years of paralegal and transactional experience, with a preferred bachelor’s degree and ABA-approved certification.
