Data Scientist

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Advance key elements of our data science program
• Analyze and develop predictive modeling using heterogeneous data, mainly Electronic Medical Records
• Develop and utilize algorithms using heterogeneous data, supervised and unsupervised classification machine learning models
• Process heterogeneous data, including EMR, imaging, NGS and real-world-data
• Automate integration of ML models and different data sources
• Write and maintain scripts for processing big data from public and proprietary clinical trials
• Be part of infrastructure design, implementation and maintenance, including ETL pipelines over cloud (AWS)

Qualifications & experience:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in mathematics, computer science, data science, bioinformatics or another related field
• B.Sc. with relevant experience will also be considered
• Demonstrated experience in medical and/or biomedical data analytics and graphical presentation, machine learning and deep learning algorithm development/utilization
• Proficiency in SQL (preferably PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• Prior programming experience with R and/or Python
• Good understanding of medical data
• Superb written and oral communication skills in English
