UM6P’s College of Computing’s mission is to harness advances of the computing age, by transforming the capabilities of academia in all key areas; computing fields – supporting the rapid growth and evolution of computer science and computational areas of allied fields such as mathematics, as reflected notably in the rise of artificial intelligence; computing in other disciplines – facilitating research and teaching collaborations in computing, across a broad range of fields; social and ethical responsibilities of computing – leading change in academic research and education, in the development and use of computing.
The College of Computing is looking to recruit Data Scientists/Research Assistants, under the supervision of Dr. Loubna Mekouar.
Description:
This position focuses on exploring and implementing state-of-the-art ML/DL techniques in different applications including e-health applications and recommender systems (RS). As an example, in RS this will involve studying various approaches, such as collaborative filtering, content-based methods, and advanced deep learning models like neural collaborative filtering (NCF), autoencoders, and transformers.
The objective is to improve recommendation accuracy, scalability, and user personalization by leveraging large datasets and cutting-edge algorithms.
Requirements:
Strong skills in Computer science and Mathematics are required.
