Job Description
Seeking a Program Manager for a national project. The Program Manager is responsible for successfully executing year-long engagement strategies with community partners. The position will participate in the development, management and implementation of programs and activities with community partners and work to maintain a strong collaborative network of diverse community partners. The Program Manager is responsible for tracking and presenting program data to project leadership. This individual will work closely with the Project Director of the NCPCR Project. He/she will aid the team and take the lead in ensuring the accomplishment of program objectives are met. The Program Manager develops, coordinates and advises the project leadership regarding successful program engagement activities. Funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute ( NHLBI ) and National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities ( NIMHD ), the Network for Community-engaged Primary Care Research ( NCPCR ) has an overarching goal to narrow the health inequities among disproportionately impacted populations served by the primary care safety net across the southeastern United States (US) and nationally.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: Knowledge and understanding of developing and supporting large- scale engagement activities. Knowledge of advocacy and mobilization techniques. Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with limited supervision and guidance. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a professional manner. Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand for a wide variety of audiences. Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups. Skill in identifying intermediate problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality work and meeting deadlines. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products. Knowledgeable of program management tools such as Smartsheets and Asana Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree (Management preferred) Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university Minimum 5 years of experience higher education or community-based organizations Excellent Project Management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office software preferred Experience working on programs with national reach Experience working with external partners Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to anticipate and solve problems with limited direction Ability to create and implement processes for tracking and monitoring
