Job Description
Interprets funding opportunity guidelines for faculty Demonstrates and proposes best practice in grantsmanship Ensures proposal guidelines are followed and all written work meets or exceeds established quality and ethical standards Reconciles numbers related to proposals and activations and prepares a variety of reports for internal and external stakeholders. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external technical subject matter experts to obtain information to complete proposal development assignments Provides faculty with proposal writing support, including writing and editing grant narratives Oversees internal review process for all limited submission funding programs. Coordinates the Students Research and Creative Inquiry Day Activities Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Education, Science, Engineering, English, or related fields. A minimum of three years of professional experience in technical proposal development. Demonstrated ability to initiate, coordinate, develop, write, and finalize proposals with little or no supervision. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with diverse constituents. Excellent critical thinking skills. Strong commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work on multiple assignments and complete high-quality work with strict and competing deadlines. Strong knowledge of various office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and publishing software.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Education, Science, Engineering, English, or related fields.
