WHY ACCOUNT IDENTITY?
Safety and Civility is Roblox’s #1 priority and our mission is to keep Roblox secure from sophisticated bot attacks while also building in-depth understanding of our users. As an ML engineer on the Account Identity team, you will be working on multi-modal age estimation and alternate account detection. This area is both adversarial and complex due to Roblox’s varied demographics. You’ll be focused on building scalable and secure detection to ensure platform safety. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager of the Account Identity Team.
Roblox presents a tremendous international laboratory for experiments at scale with users, data, client devices, and servers.
You Will:
- Work closely with engineers to research and develop improvements to push our technology forward
- Establish collaborations and perform research with leading faculty around the world
- Perform hands-on research, including programming for experiments and prototypes
- Publish and present research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed venues
- Transfer technology into the product by shepherding it through engineering
You Have:
- Possess or pursuing a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience designing and building scalable Computer Vision machine learning solutions in an industry setting
- Experience with facial recognition and/or deepfake detection is a plus. This includes work on liveness detection, age estimation, anti-spoofing, and synthetic media analysis for identity verification and fraud prevention
- Experience in anti-abuse / integrity/security domain is a plus
- Strong coding skills with proficiency in one or more programming languages and experience with building large-scale systems
