QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate and licensure as a Physician’s Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician’s Assistants with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board

Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing

Advanced Practice Provider – Critical Care

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Critical Care team. In this position, your primary responsibility is managing a caseload of critically ill patients in an intensive care setting under the direct supervision of the ICU supervising physician.

In this role you will:

·         Utilize specialized skill and knowledge performing physical exams

·         Collect and properly document data utilizing EMR system

·         Conduct necessary procedures, including: central lines, arterial lines, vascaths, chest tubes, and intubations

·         Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations

·         Prescribe appropriate interventions and medications

·         Provide direct patient care services in a specific ICU or step-down unit
