Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our growing medical group. The ideal candidate will support our pain management providers in delivering high-quality patient care both in clinic and surgical settings. This is a dynamic role that includes patient assessments, pre- and post-operative care, first assist in surgery, and ongoing patient education.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations

Diagnose and manage pain management conditions under physician supervision

First assist in orthopedic surgeries (including joint replacements, sports injuries, and trauma)

Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, cast application/removal, and wound care

Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education
-
Develop treatment plans and follow-up schedules

Document all patient interactions in the EMR accurately and timely

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists for coordinated care

Participate in rounds and clinical team meetings
Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
-
Current PA license in California
-
NCCPA certification required
-
Minimum 1–2 years of orthopedic or surgical experience preferred (new grads with orthopedic rotation considered)

BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
-
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic, Athena, etc.)
