Open for Chicago or St. Louis
Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced full-time Real Estate Paralegal to join its national Real Estate Practice Group in the Atlanta, Chicago, or St. Louis office. This role will report to the Practice Group Leader and support attorneys on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related documents
Assist in drafting and reviewing real estate conveyance and closing documents
Coordinate real estate closings for acquisitions, dispositions, and financings, including debt and equity transactions
Prepare signature page packages, oversee delivery of documents, manage closing checklists, and handle recording and post-closing documentation
Draft and file UCC financing statements; order and review UCC, lien, and litigation searches
Manage entity formation, maintenance, and related corporate filings
Assemble officer certificates, resolutions, and other organizational deliverables (ability to draft from precedent preferred)
Conduct factual or legal research and assist with special projects or filings as needed
Communicate directly with clients, title companies, and external parties regarding transactional matters
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or Associates degree with a Paralegal Certificate required
5 to 7 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in a law firm, title company, or in-house legal department
Significant experience with complex, high-value transactions
Strong proficiency in reviewing title and survey documents
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Outstanding client service and communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively across legal teams and professional staff
Discretion with confidential matters and excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tools, document management systems, and timekeeping software (Elite or similar)
Willingness to work overtime as needed
