Description:
Gallagher Evelius & Jones LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its commercial litigation practice. This employee will work closely with the Partners, Associates, and other Paralegals provide direct support throughout the full scope of the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents and pleadings for court filings.
- Manage case files and ensure all documents are organized and accessible.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
- Perform data entry tasks related to case management and client information.
- Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed for case development.
- File documents with courts and other relevant agencies while adhering to deadlines.
- Organize discovery materials and assist in the preparation of trial exhibits.
- Serve on trial teams and support trial prep as needed.
The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial litigation support role and possess at least a foundational knowledge of the rules and process of litigation. Experience with cite checking and a paralegal certification or other relevant legal education preferred.
