Are you a paralegal with a passion for family law and a knack for discovery? Whether you’re early in your career or bring years of experience, you want to be part of a team where your skills are valued, your growth is supported, and your work makes a difference. At Reidy Law Office, we help families navigate Divorce with Dignity – and we’re looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate paralegal to join us.
- Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery documents.
- Manage the discovery process: draft and respond to discovery requests, review responses, organize financial and case records, and track deadlines.
- Prepare case files for hearings and trials, including exhibits, witness coordination, and trial binders.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain processes, and provide compassionate support.
- Handle e-filing and maintain organized case files (digital and physical).
- Support attorneys in case strategy, trial preparation, and client meetings.
Required:
- Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent law firm experience.
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in discovery and document management.
Preferred:
- 2–3+ years of family law paralegal experience in Illinois.
- Familiarity with Illinois e-filing systems and Clio (or similar practice management software).
- Experience with financial documents, parenting agreements, and litigation support.
- Certification such as NALA CP/ACP or Illinois Accredited Paralegal (ILAP).
