Job Title: Data Scientist
Type: Full-time/Hybrid/Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model Development & Deployment: Build and implement predictive models (classification, regression, and clustering) to support business objectives.
  • Deep-Dive Analytics: Analyse large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and causal relationships to drive key business decisions.
  • Data Storytelling: Communicate findings through clear visualisations and presentations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SAS Visual Analytics.
  • Data Preparation: Own the end-to-end data process – cleaning, transforming, and engineering datasets for analysis.
  • Experimental Design: Plan and conduct A/B testing and other experiments to test hypotheses and measure impact.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with business teams, Data Engineers, and product owners to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, and help implement new ideas.


Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Econometrics).
  • Programming: Strong in Python (pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn) and/or SAS, with solid SQL skills.
  • Statistical & ML Expertise: In-depth understanding of statistical methods and experience developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and solve business problems using data.


Preferred Skills:

  • Visualisation: Experience with dashboarding/reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SAS Visual Analytics.
  • Big Data: Familiarity with technologies like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
  • Cloud: Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
