Job Description
Our client is looking for a highly qualified Paralegal to join their personal injury law firm!
You will be highly organized, detail oriented, and has strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients
- Conduct legal research
- Gather and organize relevant medical records and chronologies
- Interview clients
- Maintain professional interaction with clients, doctors, attorneys, etc.
- Meet/beat deadlines and maintain calendars, including scheduling depositions, hearings, mediation, etc.
- Prepare for trial
- Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery, motions, and subpoenas; often NOT electronic filing
- Train and manage Legal Assistants
- Additional duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALITIES:
- 3+ years of Personal Injury experience
- Must be able to follow instructions, be motivated and have initiative, must be able to record and follow up on requested information.
- Excellent math skills for accurate closing statements
- Respect for confidentiality
- Highly empathetic
- Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Aderant (ATO), MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
- Gather relevant documents for attorney’s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, trials, etc.
- Familiar with medical records and chronologies
- Outstanding time management skills, typing skills and ability to multi-task.
- High energy, initiative and integrity

- Must be professional and cooperative with coworkers
- Must be organized with a strong attention to detail

Software:
- Familiar with Case management software & client profiles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education:
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus

- Dependent on experience
