Machine Learning Engineer – Etag

As a Machine Learning Scientist, you will work on challenging business problems and be responsible for maximizing the profitability through in depth data and predictive analytics techniques. You will be responsible for identifying and leading initiatives that will help us better understand and drive better decision making through various data and statistical modeling techniques. We are looking for a hands-on coder who enjoys implementing algorithms as much as designing and fine-tuning them.

• Write high quality code, participating in code reviews, designing/architecting systems of varying complexity and scope, and creating high quality documentation supporting the design/coding tasks

• Participate in team meetings and architecture/design discussions

• Identify areas of improvement in our frameworks, tools, and processes and strive to make them better

• Work as a team player with solid communication and presentation skills and help interpret technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments

• Write provisional patents

• Collaborate with other teams to solve machine learning related problems

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software systems and algorithms to clean and standardize raw data

• Work with other teams to integrate the standardized data into their products

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of development experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of development experience

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and technical skills

• Experience with or a demonstrable interest in machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, artificial intelligence, and statistics

• Knowledge of one or more of the following: machine learning, big data analytics, natural language processing

• Strong coding skills including C/C++ and Python

• Familiarity and comfort with Open Source code and applications Advanced degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, or related field

• Experience with data visualization

• Knowledge of statistical tools (SAS, R, Matlab)

• Experience with Hadoop/Hbase/Pig or Mapreduce/Sawzall/Bigtable is a plus
