About the role: 
 
As part of our growth journey, we are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Technology Team. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging machine learning techniques to drive business results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and programming, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in a simple way.
 
What you’ll do:

  • Develop and deploy complex machine learning models and algorithms for various applications, such as search optimisation, recommendation systems, predictive analytics, fraud detection, natural language processing, and computer vision
  • Collaborate with data and engineering teams and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of machine learning models
  • Work with large, complex datasets to pick suitable models, create useful training sets, and adjust the model accordingly
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply them to our business problems
What you’ll bring: 
  • Extensive programming skills in Python
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Knowledge of data science and expertise in statistics (e.g. Numpy, Pandas)
  • Preferably experience with GCP or AWS
  • Experience with databases like Vector DBs, BigQuery, ElasticSearch, MySQL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with people in your team
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
