Job Description
An established Chandler, AZ Plaintiff’s law firm seeks an experienced paralegal/legal assistant with complex Personal Injury and Catastrophic Claims litigation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of ten (5) years experience in civil litigation or insurance defense.
- Personal Injury and Catastrophic Litigation experience is a MUST.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with others, both internally and externally.
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- Extensive background in personal injury claims.
- Able to work as a team member.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Minimum of 5 years case management experience overseeing large/complex casualty claims.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
- Experience with case management software.
- MUST have a proven record assisting attorneys with all aspects and stages of case management, from initial evaluation to post-trial tasks.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Intake clients and speak to witnesses to gather information.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Obtain, organize, and analyze case-related documents and records.
- Identify and coordinate expert witnesses.
- Prepare cases for trial, including compiling a trial notebook and coordinating witnesses.
- Assist attorneys during trial.
- Maintain all information regarding client matters in the case management database.
