The University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is accepting applications for two full-time, 12 month faculty positions in the Physician Assistant Program (PA), Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences, School of Health Professions ( SHP ). SHP is one of the nation’s largest and most diverse schools of its type with more than twenty programs at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels. Currently, U.S. News & World Report has ranked The UAB Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program No. 16. The PA faculty candidate’s primary responsibilities will include didactic instruction and scholarly activities. There are opportunities for student advising and community service. The PA Program faculty consists of an energetic, cohesive group of individuals, and the program is highly integrated with the UAB Medical School and surrounding medical community. UAB is ranked as one of the premier medical schools and research institutions in the country, and Birmingham is an international city that enjoys a reputation as one of America’s best places for a family to live, work, and play. The ideal candidates should have a minimum of three years of didactic teaching experience in a health related profession (PA, MD, or DO programs) and possess at least a Master’s degree in a related health sciences discipline with a doctoral level degree preferred. Required Qualifications
A minimum of three years of didactic teaching experience in a health related profession (PA, MD, or DO programs). Master’s degree in a related health sciences discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
A doctoral level degree preferred.
