Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist) – Level 3 (CENTCOM-Tampa, FL)

The Exploitation Specialist possesses skills that focus on GEOINT data enrichment and management. The Exploitation Specialist applies expertise to exploit GEOINT data or information in order to develop advanced analytic processes, apply scientific approaches to test geospatial data for accuracy and precision, create automated services that support GEOINT creation and delivery, and/or structure and manage data for further use.

Skills Required

Ability to apply structured processes to enrich or manage data

Ability to apply GEOINT standards and quality

Ability to communicate with clarity and accuracy both verbally and written

Skills Desired

Understanding of Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) and application of ABI

methodologies

Demonstrate familiarity in the functional mission areas and key intelligence issues

Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of data exploitation techniques to include

spatial analysis, network analysis and other data analytics as appropriate

Previous experience utilizing GEOINT analytical databases and reporting tools

Demonstrated ability to work independently with self-accountability and foster

positive customer relationships

Demonstrated ability to operate successfully as a team-member

Must have:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the willingness to take a CI polygraph exam (CI poly required for Tampa)

• Able to work on client site 40-hours a week (very limited option for telework)

• Proficient with Python 

• Experience with JEMA

Nice to have:

• Experience with multiple intelligence types (SIGINT, OSINT, ELINT, GEOINT, MASINT, HUMINT)

• Experience with Brewlytics, ArcPro and/or other geospatial data analysis tools

• Knowledge of GEOINT collection and associated NGA/NRO systems 

• Proficiency with common programming languages including R, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript 

• Experience analyzing geospatially enabled data

• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to dynamic mission needs

• Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team (main gov team is based out of NGA Washington)

• Experience providing embedded data science/automation support to analytic teams
