Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, formatting, and reviewing pleadings, notices, and correspondence.
  • Managing case files, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Conducting legal research, compiling case law, and summarising judgments.
  • Liaising with counsel, clients, and experts.
  • Assisting attorneys with litigation processes, including insurance claims, commercial disputes, and settlement agreements.
  • Maintaining accurate records, billing, and document management systems.

Requirements

  • Paralegal Diploma / LLB
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a litigation environment, with specific exposure to commercial and insurance litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of High Court and Magistrates’ Court procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Lexpro, LegalSuite, GhostPractice, or similar).
  • Excellent drafting, research, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
