Description

Lowen Companies is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage the full lifecycle of commercial and multifamily construction projects. The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost management, and scheduling. They should be highly organized, proactive, and able to lead project teams, ensuring all aspects of the project align with company goals and client expectations. They should be pro-active and solutions focused in everything they do; with an ability to creatively tackle any challenge they are faced with

 

  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare preliminary and final estimates for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and architects to coordinate project specifications and details.
  • Forecast and manage resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, within budget constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors to ensure profitable agreements.
  • Oversee the permitting process and ensure compliance with all building codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, confirm adherence to project specifications, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, trade partners, and regulatory authorities.
  • Utilize project management software to track schedules, budget, and progress.
  • Manage all RFIs, supplementary instructions, and drawing updates, ensuring all stakeholders have the most current details.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED with 10 years of industry experience considered.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial and/or multifamily construction.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA laws, and construction best practices.
  • Experience with site development, structural framing, MEP coordination, and interior finishes.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.

Working Conditions

Location:

  • The Project Manager will primarily work from the corporate office, with the flexibility to work remotely at times.
  • Lowen Companies values personal connections and believes in strengthening relationships through in-person meetings when necessary.
  • Project Managers are expected to be present in the office when meetings are scheduled or when collaboration requires face-to-face interaction.
  • Weekly travel to job sites and client meetings is required.
